Seabed erosion blamed for viaduct collapse
Seabed erosion is suspected of being behind the collapse of a railway viaduct on one of the country’s busiest lines, it was revealed today.
Initial tests on the Malahide estuary crossing on the main Dublin to Belfast track suggest recent low tides and heavy rains also combined to create a near catastrophe.
