Bray stabbing victim to be laid to rest today

The 22-year-old student who was stabbed to death in last weekend's knife attack at his family home in Bray is due to be laid to rest this afternoon.

Locals in the Co Wicklow town are still coming to terms with the events that led to the fatal stabbing of Sebastian 'Seb' Creane in Cuala Grove in the early hours of Sunday, August 16.

A keen photographer, he was due to enter the fourth year of a degree programme in Visual Communications at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art Design and Technology in just a few weeks' time.

Hundreds of mourners turned out to pay their respects at his removal in Bray last night.

His funeral service will be held at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in Bray at 10am this morning, before his burial in Ballina, Co Mayo, this afternoon.
