Motorcyclist killed in Galway accident

A 37-year-old man has been killed after his motorcycle and a jeep were in collision in Co Galway.

The crash happened at about 1pm this afternoon on the Kilkerrin Road in Moylough.

His body has been removed to Portiuncula Hospital.

Gardaí at Ballinasloe are investigating the incident and a forensic collision examination is due to be carried out.

The road is expected be closed until 8pm tonight.
