Investigations continue into collapse of railway bridge

Investigations on the Dublin-Belfast rail line are to continue today after the collapse of a 20-metre section of the viaduct across Malahide estuary last night.

Ground holding the track gave way, slipping into the estuary below. It is believed subsidence on the embankment caused the collapse.
