Petrol bombs thrown at police after loyalist parade

Police were pelted with petrol bombs after a loyalist band parade marched through the mainly nationalist village of Rasharkin last night.

About 200 nationalists protested as the march passed. Afterwards, loyalists attacked the police with bricks and nationalists later attacked them with petrol bombs.

As the marchers passed, two plastic bottles and some golf balls were thrown.
