Boy drowns in swimming pool in Navan

A child has drowned in a swimming pool in Co Meath.

The young boy got into difficulty in the pool at Navan Leisure Centre earlier today.

Meath County Council said it was informed of the incident by Aura, the company which runs the centre, earlier this evening.

No other details were immediately available.
