Gardaí investigate gas leak in Letterkenny

Gardaí in Co Donegal are investigating the circumstances leading up to a gas leak in Letterkenny last night.

The emergency services were called to Lower Main Street following reports of a strong smell of gas.

A gas metre is believed to have been maliciously pulled from a wall.

The Fire Service says there could have been a massive explosion if there were any naked flames in the area.
