Man dies in Westmeath crash

A 25-year-old man has died from injuries he suffered in a road crash in Co Westmeath at the weekend.

The man was driving a car that collided with a wall near Ballynacargy shortly after 6am on Saturday morning.

He was taken to Mullingar General Hospital and transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he died yesterday afternoon.

Gardaí are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
