Workers set to picket Dublin pub in row over pay

Workers are set to picket Dublin's Spawell pub and nightclub from Tuesday after the company announced it was to close with the loss of 32 jobs.

The picket will involve more than 20 members of staff who say they are owed two weeks wages, holiday pay and wages for three days worked earlier this week.

Mandate Trade Union say that CB Taverns, trading as the Spawell Licensed Premises, have left them and the workers with no alternative but to picket the Templeogue business "in the hope of achieving some sort of compensation for the workers".
