Gardaí investigating the shooting of two security guards outside a hospital in Dublin last week have arrested two men.

Gardaí investigating the shooting of two security guards outside a hospital in Dublin last week have arrested two men.

The attack happened at St James' Hospital in Dublin 8 at about 4.30am on the morning of Tuesday August 2.

One of the guards was wounded in the shoulder and the other in the arm.

Two men in their late twenties were arrested in the Dublin 8 area this morning, and have been taken for questioning to Kilmainham and Kevin Street garda stations.
