Man dies in Down factory accident

A man died after becoming trapped under machinery at a factory in Co Down, police said today.

The incident at the industrial premises in Rooney Road, Kilkeel, happened at around 6pm last night.

The man, in his 40s, was taken to Daisy Hill Hospital but died later from his injuries.

The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
