Mother of wandering toddler found

The mother of the two-year-old boy found wandering alone in Clondalkin yesterday morning has been located, gardaí have said.

The youngster, who is now in foster care, was dishevelled but physically well when he was found on Watery Lane in the town centre at 10am.

The gardaí thanked the media for their help in the appeal.

“Thank you for your assistance in this matter,” said a spokesman.

“It is unlikely that this could have happened so quickly without the help of the media.”
