McGuinness 'should be prosecuted' over gun photo

A hardline unionist in the North is calling for the prosecution of Martin McGuinness following the emergence of a photograph showing him holding a gun.

Mr McGuinness has admitted that he was a senior IRA man in Derry in the 1970s.

The new black-and-white photo, which appears to date back to 1972, has been posted on a website set up by victims' campaigner Willie Frazer.

Traditional Unionist Voice founder Jim Allister is now asking how anyone could contemplate devolving policing and justice powers to an administration jointly led by Mr McGuinness.

Mr Allister quit the DUP in protest at the party's decision to share power with Sinn Féin.
