Shooting victim dies in hospital

A 22-year-old man shot two years ago in Dublin has died in hospital, it has emerged.

Ian Kenny, a father-of-two, was in a coma since the attack on his life on July 4, 2007.

He was shot in the head at close range at a shopping centre in Stillorgan. A 24-year-old man was since jailed for 12 years for the attempted murder.

Mr Kenny died in hospital on Friday.
