The agency works to secure housing for the homeless and those at risk of homelessness, as well as lobbying the authorities on the issue.

Its executive director, Bob Jordan, told an Oireachtas committee this morning that the agency was receiving increasing contact from people who are losing their jobs or who are getting into trouble with mortgage arrears as a result of the recession.
