Cathedral break-in causes €250,000 in damage

About €250,000 worth of damage has been caused by a break-in at Christchurch Cathedral in Waterford city.

Gardaí have launched an investigation after the ceiling of the building was badly damaged overnight.

It is believed a number of people tried to gain access, but nothing significant was taken.
