Robinson wants more unionists on equality body

The North's First Minister, Peter Robinson, has said more unionists must be appointed to the board of the Equality Commission this September.

The North's First Minister, Peter Robinson, has said more unionists must be appointed to the board of the Equality Commission this September.

Mr Robinson claims the body is currently unrepresentative of Northern society and biased against unionists

He says he is appalled and outraged that its staff is only 34% Protestant, with no board member reflecting the views of the DUP.

The DUP leader says that, when four commissioner posts become vacant in two months, they must all be filled by unionists in order to address this bias.
