Armed raiders target nightclub in Dublin

Nightclub staff were held up by two armed men who fled with the night’s takings in an early morning robbery.

No shots were fired and no-one was injured during the raid at the Mansion Nightclub in the Spawell Complex in Templeogue, Dublin 6, shortly after 2am.

The raiders, one holding a handgun and the second brandishing a sawn-off shot gun, targeted staff as they were leaving the premises.

It is believed they made off on foot with €20,000.

Gardaí in Terenure are investigating the incident.
