Man due in court over 1995 Ballymena murder
The former partner of a woman killed 14 years ago in Co Antrim is due to appear in court later today charged with her murder.
Thirty-six-year-old Lorraine Mills - a mother of two - was found dead at her home in Staffa Drive, Ballymena, in May 1995.
On Monday, her former partner, 49-year-old William Mawhinney, was arrested in the Cambridgeshire area of Britain and taken to Antrim for questioning about the murder.
On Wednesday, the police were granted a further 36 hours to question him at the PSNI's serious crime suite in Antrim.
He is now due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates Court in Co Antrim today.
