Lawyers advocate 'Yes' vote in Lisbon referendum

A group of lawyers advocating a 'Yes' vote in the second Lisbon Treaty referendum say they are embarrassed for not playing their part in the campaign the last time round.

Lawyers for Europe say the complicated Treaty could have benefited from legal explanation but they won't be found wanting during the second campaign.

The group said any issues of concern, such as neutrality and abortion, have been addressed.

Chairman Bill Shipsey says a lot of these fears were unfounded first time round.
