Cabinet discusses draft legislation on Nama
The Cabinet has discussed draft legislation to establish the National Assets Management Agency.
The Government is hoping the legislation will be signed into law this autumn as part of its plan to remove toxic debts from the books of Irish banks.
A draft bill was presented to ministers at their weekly Cabinet meeting in Dublin this morning.
The recommendations of An Bord Snip Nua are also believed to have been discussed, along with a publicity campaign ahead of the forthcoming re-run of the Lisbon Treaty referendum.
