Gardaí appeal for help in Galway stabbing case

Crimestoppers is offering a €10,000 reward for information about a Polish man wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of Kieran Cunningham in Galway last month.

The 20-year-old supermarket worker, from Slievefinn near Claregalway, was attacked and stabbed outside a city centre nightclub on June 3. He died in hospital a short time later.

Gardaí want to speak to 27-year-old Polish man Alex Nadwoodny in connection with the death.

They say he worked in Galway for three years, but has now left the city. Detectives are unsure whether he has left Ireland and are working with Interpol as part of their investigation.

Gardaí will be handing out information leaflets in English, Polish and Lithuanian on Shop Street and Williamsgate Street in Galway city today and late tonight.
