Ó Cuiv remains tight-lipped on dept’s abolition

The Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs is refusing to say whether or not he will oppose the proposed abolition of his department.

The Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs is refusing to say whether or not he will oppose the proposed abolition of his department.

The move was recommended yesterday in the report from An Bord Snip Nua.

Minister Éamon Ó Cuiv said today that he was not in a position to comment publicly on the issue, but would give his views privately to the Cabinet.
