Cowen: All Snip Nua proposals will be considered
The Taoiseach has refused to rule out any of the cutbacks recommended yesterday by An Bord Snip Nua.
The body has proposed €5.3bn worth of cutbacks throughout the public service, including controversial cuts in social welfare and other supports for disadvantaged people and communities.
It recommends that 17,000 jobs be cut in the public sector.
Speaking to reporters today, Brian Cowen said all the proposals will be on the table when the Government sits down to devise its budget in December.
