Post mortem due on body found in Carlow

A post mortem is due to be carried out today following the discovery of a woman's body near Carlow town yesterday.

The woman, who was in her 50s, was found beside a ditch off the Castledermot Road at around 4.30pm.

Gardaí say the results of the post mortem will determine the course of their investigation.
