Former Labour TD appointed to senior Concern position
A former Labour Party TD Derek McDowell has been appointed Head of Advocacy at Concern.
Mr McDowell, from Dublin, served in the Dáil from 1992 until 2002.
The solicitor then became a senator until 2007.
Concern's Chief Executive Tom Arnold says Mr McDowell has a longstanding commitment to social justice and described his political and legal background as invaluable.
