Three arrested after £1.5m heroin seizure

Three people were in custody tonight after a huge heroin seizure in the North.

Three people were in custody tonight after a huge heroin seizure in the North.

The drugs were recovered when a car was stopped on the Foyle Bridge in Derry at around 1am.

Police said eight kilos of the drug were recovered.

Police said the total haul, including a quantity of ecstasy, is worth £1.5m.

Two men aged 41 and 28 and a woman aged 24 were arrested.
