Both sides in today's groundbreaking talks in the North between the DUP leader, Peter Robinson, and the spokesman for nationalist residents in Portadown, Brendan MacCionnaith, say they were "cordial".

The talks are aimed at finding a way to end the long-running dispute between the Orange Order and the residents in the sometimes violent dispute over the annual parade from Drumcree church outside the town.
