Englishman pleads guilty to manslaughter of man 12 years ago

An Englishman has pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to killing a Kerry musician 12 years ago.

Robert Anthony (aged 61), with a previous address at Derrylough, pleaded not guilty of murder but guilty of the manslaughter of Philip O’Sullivan (19) at Derrylough, Tuosist, Killarney on August 22, 1997.

The plea was accepted by the state.

Anthony was remanded in custody for sentencing until October 6.
