Police in the North are investigating after a serious assault in Co Antrim.

It happened in the Albert Place area of Ballymena in the early hours of this morning.

A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries to his head, but is in a stable condition.

The PSNI are investigating and appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
