A date has been set for the trial of a 49-year-old man accused of murdering a 60-year-old woman whose body was found buried in woodland in west Cork earlier this year.

A date has been set for the trial of a 49-year-old man accused of murdering a 60-year-old woman whose body was found buried in woodland in west Cork earlier this year.

Oliver Hayes, of Clancool Terrace, Bandon, is accused of murdering Anne Corcoran on a date between January 19 and 23, 2009 in Co Cork.

Mrs Corcoran, from Maulnaskimlehane in Kilbrittain, was last seen on January 18 and her body was found near Garrettstown on February 6.

Mr Justice Paul Carney said the case would be heard by the Central Criminal Court sitting in Cork on January 19, 2010.
