Garda tells court he took copy of security camera footage

A detective garda has said he took a copy of a private home’s security camera footage as part of an investigation into a €2.28m "tiger kidnapping" robbery.

Detective Garda David Patten said he burned a copy of footage from a camera mounted on the house’s gable which showed a black Jeep travelling on the road toward Cloon wood, where the Richardson family were taken hostage on March 14, 2005.
