Man shot in arm during Dublin gun attack
A 19-year-old man was in hospital today after a lone gunman shot him on the doorstep of his home.
The attacker called at the house in West Road, East Wall, Dublin, late last night.
When the victim opened the door, the gunman opened fire a number of times with a handgun.
The teenager was taken to Mater Hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The gunman, who was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top with a white stripe on the sleeve, fled the scene on foot towards Stoney Road, where he got into a saloon car.
Eyewitnesses said he was about 5ft 6in and of stocky build, and was also wearing a black and white scarf.
Investigating gardai at Store Street Garda Station have appealed for information about the shooting, which happened at around 11.40pm.
There were a number of adults in the house at the time.
