Man dies after being hit by car in Co Roscommon

A 45-year-old man has died after being struck by a car in Co Roscommon in the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened in the Ballyleague area at around 2.30am.

The scene has been technically examined and the road has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
