24 businesses prosecuted in relation to smoking ban breaches

Twenty-four businesses were prosecuted last year for allowing smokers to light up on their premises, a report revealed today.

The Office of Tobacco Control (OTC) said 18 of the companies were convicted while six were put on probation after being hauled before the courts.
