Measures taken to halt spread of swine flu in Mayo

Children's Minister Barry Andrew has said all necessary precautions are being taken to prevent more children in Co Mayo from contracting swine flu.

Andrews' comments came after yesterday's confirmation from the Health Service Executive that it is investigating a case of the virus in a pupil at a national school in Castlebar.

The seven-year-old girl has been quarantined and is said to be responding well to treatment.

Last night the Department of Health confirmed the presence of two more cases of swine flu, bringing to 18 the number of cases here.
