MLA turns on building society boss because of spending advice

A building society boss came under fire at the North's Assembly today for telling consumers they had to end their high-spending lifestyles.

He told a Stormont committee quizzing banks on the economic crisis that would-be house-buyers will have to save more money in the future instead of relying on borrowing.
