A Wexford motor business consultant has been given a nine-month suspended prison sentence and a leading company has been fined €35,000 for their roles in a Citroen price-fixing cartel.

Bernard Byrne (aged 47) was Dublin representative of the Citroen Dealers Association which illegally set a minimum selling price among its members for Citroen vehicles and imposed a IR£1,000 fine on dealers who sold below this standard.
