Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to the robbery of a cash-in-transit van in County Armagh this morning.

Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to the robbery of a cash-in-transit van in County Armagh this morning.

The driver of the van was approached by a man armed with a knife at a commercial premises on the Lurgan Road in Craigavon.

The man threatened the driver and then made off with the cash box in a light blue or grey car which was driven by a second man.

The car was later found burnt out in the grounds of a nearby hospital.

One of the men is said to be 60 years of age with grey hair while the other is believed to be between 25 and 30 with fair hair.
