Dáil to resume Ryan report debate

The Dáil's two-day debate on the findings of the Ryan report on child abuse is due to resume at Leinster House later today.

Yesterday, the Taoiseach reiterated the Government's apology to the victims of abuse by members of religious orders in state-owned institutions.

He said the recent report from the Child Abuse Commission shone a light on the darkest corner of Ireland's history.
