The result of the Dublin South by-election has confirmed that Fine Gael’s George Lee has been elected to the Dáil.

The result of the Dublin South by-election has confirmed that Fine Gael’s George Lee has been elected to the Dáil.

The former journalist scooped 27,768 votes to win the by-election after the first count.

The quota for the election was 26,019.

Fianna Fáil’s Shay Brennan was third with 9,250 votes behind Labour’s Alex White who had 10,294 votes.
