Warning issued regarding dietary supplements

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland is issuing a warning about Hydroxycut food supplements.

The dietary supplements, which are marketed for weight loss, are available mainly through health shops and online.

The authority says they have potential adverse side effects and should not be used.

There are no reported cases of adverse reactions in Ireland but there have been some reports of liver damage in the US and Finland.
