Two held after stolen car hits police vehicle

Two men were arrested today after a stolen car hit a police vehicle.

The Vauxhall, understood to have been stolen from a house in the Lower Ormeau Road area of Belfast in the middle of the night, was located by police at around 4.20am in Essex Street, where it hit a police car.

Two occupants made off and a short time later a man in his late teens and another in his early 20s were arrested.

A Ford Focus was also reported to have been stolen from the Lower Ormeau Road at the same time as the Vauxhall.
