SDLP canvassers threatened by gunman in Lurgan

An SDLP Assembly member says she will not be intimidated after being threatened by armed an armed and masked man in Lurgan last night.

Dolores Kelly says she and her canvassers were told they had five minutes to get out of a nationalist housing estate or they would be shot.

She said the group decided to leave the Kilwilkie area, but she has vowed that she will return to the estate despite the threat.

Ms Kelly is blaming dissident republicans for the incident.
