Cork ferry workers to stage strike action
Workers on a ferry serving Cape Clear Island in west Cork are to stage a stoppage next month.
Staff on the Naomh Ciaran II are taking the action in protest at pay cuts for deckhands and the ship's master.
They also say their employer expects them to work four extra weeks between May and September for nothing.
The workers say they will be taking strike action on June 4 from 8.30am until 7pm.
