A woman is in a critical condition in hospital this morning after being knocked down in the North.

A woman is in a critical condition in hospital this morning after being knocked down in the North.

The incident happened just before 2am this morning on the Buncrana Road in Derry.

The woman, who is in her 20s, is being treated in hospital.

The PSNI is appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
