Protest over ward closures in Crumlin

Hundreds of people are expected to attend a protest in Dublin today over ward closures at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin.

It follows the announcement that a number of wards at the facility are to close because of a funding shortfall of almost €10m.

The demonstration will get underway at midday and has been organised by a local campaign group.
