Two-year-old boy dies after being hit by van

A two-year-old boy has died after being struck by a van in the Clondalkin area of west Dublin yesterday evening.

The accident happened in Deansrath Avenue at around 5.30pm.

Gardaí say the boy was pronounced dead in an ambulance while being rushed to The National Children's Hospital in Tallaght.
