Safety expert warns parents to check child car seats
A leading safety expert is warning parents to check on the effectiveness of the child car seats they use.
The Road Safety Authority has found that eight out of 10 such seats are not fitted correctly.
Mark Bennett, from car seat maker Britax, is visiting Ireland to promote a system of anchoring seats securely.
He said there is a growing incidence of poorly fitted seats especially if they are changed from one car to another.
