Early school-leavers more likely to need State support

Education Minister Batt O'Keeffe says he accepts that Government departments need to co-operate more closely to tackle the problem of early school-leavers.

Mr O'Keeffe was reacting to an ESRI report commissioned by Barnardos which reveals a major cost to the State when students drop out before completing school.
